DreamSeed Pool is a contest entry and prize-sharing experiment built around a Chinese AI creator competition called the DreamSeed program, hosted by a platform named DreamField. The repository itself is the competition entry, and the core idea is that if the project wins prize money, 90% of the after-tax winnings will be distributed to supporters who backed the project during the competition period. The competition runs from May to November 2026. DreamField is an AI computing platform where users spend tokens to run AI workloads. Supporting a competition entry on the platform is done by binding your account to a repository and using the platform normally, which generates credits called seeds that flow to the bound project. The more seeds a project accumulates, the higher it ranks on the competition leaderboard. The prize-sharing mechanism works by dividing the winnings into 180 daily pools, one for each day of the competition. Each day, supporters who contributed seeds on that day split that day's pool in proportion to their seed count. Supporters who join early when few others have joined can claim a larger share of early daily pools. Beyond prize money, supporters also get a discount on the DreamField platform itself. The repository's ranking determines the discount tier: the top 20% of ranked repositories earn supporters a 40% discount on platform usage, which applies regardless of whether the project wins any prize. To participate, a supporter binds their DreamField account to this repository, then emails a registration form with their account details to receive any eventual payout. The README is primarily written in Chinese, with the competition mechanics described in detail in a separate FUNDING.md file.
