What is zjuthesis?

This repository is a LaTeX template for Zhejiang University graduation theses. LaTeX is a document preparation system that academics use to produce professionally formatted papers with correct handling of citations, equations, and page layouts. The template takes care of the formatting requirements that Zhejiang University specifies for graduation documents, so students can focus on writing rather than fighting with margins and fonts. The template covers three levels: undergraduate, master's, and doctoral. It also includes an English version for graduate students who submit in English. Within those categories there are options for different document types, such as a proposal versus the final submission, and a blind-review mode that hides personal information during the review process. There are three ways to use it. The simplest is Overleaf, an online editor that runs entirely in the browser with no local software installation required. The second is compiling locally on your own computer after installing the TeX Live software package, which is faster and works with version control tools like Git. The third option uses a Dev Container, which is a pre-configured environment that runs inside tools like VS Code or GitHub Codespaces and automatically includes everything needed to compile the document. For students presenting their thesis defense, the repository also links to a Microsoft PowerPoint slide template and several Beamer slide themes, which is a format commonly used in academic settings. The project code is open-source under the MIT license. The school logo and official university documents included in the template remain the property of Zhejiang University.
