What is skills?

skills is a small set of Agent Skills, packaged instructions that AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor can load, built for people who create video content and want to turn raw footage into finished, ready-to-post material without doing every editing step by hand. Three skills are included. shorts-from-takes takes several video clips, whether separate takes, shots, or existing reels, and combines them into one finished vertical video sized for phone screens, trimmed and put in order, with optional captions, a title card, sped-up sections, and relighting, along with metadata ready to paste into YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, or X. video-to-articles takes a recorded video or its transcript and turns it into a written article for X, Medium, or LinkedIn, written to match the creator's own voice rather than a generic style, and includes a ready-to-paste HTML version, a fresh cover image, an automatic check on the result, and a process that is meant to improve with each use. longform-to-shorts takes one finished long video, such as a talking head recording combined with screen recording, and cuts it into several separate short vertical clips, one per topic, with face and screen zooming, a split screen bubble layout, burned-in subtitles, an opening hook, sound effects, and speed changes that keep the voice pitch sounding natural. Installing the skills takes one command, after which you choose which skills to add and which AI coding agents to install them into. Once installed, you simply ask your AI assistant in plain language for what you want, such as cutting a Short from some clips, and the right skill runs automatically based on its description. Each individual skill has its own README covering what it needs to run and how to use it. No license is stated in the README.
