What is anuppuccin-pro-mod?

AnuPpuccin Pro Mod is a set of CSS style files, called snippets and themes, for the note taking app Obsidian. It builds on top of an existing popular Obsidian theme called AnuPpuccin, cleaning it up and stripping away visual clutter to create a calmer reading and studying environment for students, researchers, or anyone who wants fewer distractions on screen. Compared to the original AnuPpuccin theme, this modification changes several things: dark mode becomes true black instead of dark gray, which the author says saves battery on OLED screens, visible borders around elements are removed for a cleaner floating look, the mobile toolbar becomes a floating rounded capsule similar to iOS design, settings menus are shown as cards with smooth toggle switches, and code blocks and headings get softer, less boxy styling. The project also includes a separate snippet called Default Pro Theme, which instead of changing Obsidian's layout, only adjusts the background colors of the app's own default theme, adding a warm yellow background for light mode and a pure black background for dark mode. The author describes this second snippet as fully finished and stable, while the main AnuPpuccin modification is still being refined, with dark mode further along than light mode.
