What is compactparty?

CompactParty is an addon for a private World of Warcraft server running the CoA (Classic era) ruleset, written in the Lua scripting language that WoW addons use. It replaces the game's default party frames, the small panels showing your group members, with smaller, more compact versions. Each compact frame still shows a member's health bar, their resource bar (whether that is mana, energy, rage, or another resource type), their name, level, and class color. The addon can highlight whichever party member currently has the lowest health, and that highlighting can be turned off if you prefer. You can also click directly on a frame to cast a spell on that member, binding any spell to left click, middle click, or those clicks combined with Shift, Ctrl, or Alt, and doing this does not change who you currently have targeted. The original Blizzard party frames can be hidden on a per member basis once the addon's frames are in use, and the new frames can be moved and resized to fit your screen layout. Settings are adjusted either through the in game Interface AddOns menu or with /compact slash commands in chat.
