Requires Node.js 18+, git, and your own MuAPI access key for generation.
OpenStudio is an open source web application that bundles many AI content creation tools into one interface, letting you generate images, videos, cinematic clips, faceless reels, and lip synced talking portraits. It works by connecting to your own MuAPI account key, which gives access to over 200 image and video generation models such as Nano Banana, GPT Image, Seedream, Imagen, Seedance, Kling, Veo, Sora, and Hailuo. The app is organized into separate modules. An Image Studio and Video Studio handle basic text to image and text to video or image to video generation across dozens of models. A Video Tools section offers things like removing watermarks from clips or controlling motion in Kling generated videos. There is also an agent that can take a single idea and turn it into a full short film: it writes a shot list, creates storyboard keyframes, and then animates each scene automatically. A related Storyboard module takes one prompt and turns it directly into a rendered, fully shot listed board. Beyond video generation, OpenStudio includes a script writer aimed at short form platforms, producing hooks, story beats, and calls to action, plus a Reels module offering twelve different faceless reel styles that generate script, visuals, and voiceover together in one step. A Cinema Studio module lets you describe real camera settings like lens, aperture, camera movement, and lighting, and folds that language into your generation prompts. A Marketing Studio module can create product focused ad videos from images you already have. Additional tools cover lip syncing, audio generation, automatic highlight clipping from longer footage, and simple motion graphics, and a Workflows feature lets you chain several of these tools together into a repeatable pipeline. Installation is a single command on macOS, Linux, or Windows that clones the repository, installs dependencies, builds it, and opens it in your browser automatically, or you can set it up manually with Node.js and npm. It also has an optional Electron based desktop app you can build for Mac, Windows, or Linux. It is built with Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS, and is released under the MIT license.
