Requires installing a companion WordPress plugin and a Bricks Builder site running version 2.0 or newer.
bricks-mcp-open connects AI assistants like Claude Code and Cursor directly to a WordPress website built with the Bricks page builder, so you can manage the site by describing what you want in plain language instead of clicking through the builder yourself. It offers over a hundred separate tools covering pages, templates, styling, SEO, and general site content. It works in two connected pieces. A small WordPress plugin, included in the repository, installs on your site and exposes a set of web addresses that let an outside program read and change pages, templates, and styles. A separate program, run on your own computer or a server, speaks the Model Context Protocol that AI assistants use to discover and call tools, and it forwards your requests to that WordPress plugin using an application password rather than your main login. With it connected, you can ask an assistant to do things like list every page along with its SEO score, create a new landing page, change a headline on a specific page, fix missing meta descriptions across the whole site, add a pre-built section like a testimonials slider, or save a named snapshot of the site before making a risky change. The tool set is organized into categories such as pages, SEO, templates, backups and snapshots, reusable style classes, menus, media, and general WordPress content like posts and categories, and it can also manage more than one WordPress site from a single setup. Beyond running it on your own machine, the project can also be deployed to a cloud host so it stays available around the clock, which lets you manage the same WordPress site from a phone running a mobile AI assistant app without a laptop needing to be on. It is released under the MIT license and requires a Bricks Builder version of 2.0 or newer.
