Requires Node.js 20+ via npx, exporting to PDF or PPTX needs a local Chrome, Chromium, or Edge install.
Dashi PPT Skill is an AI agent skill that turns a document you hand it into an editable slide presentation, aimed at people who need a polished deck quickly for work. Rather than producing a static file, it builds each slide as an editable webpage with its own on page control panel, so you can adjust anything in the browser, then export the result as a real, editable PowerPoint file. The skill ships with 12 built in visual themes and more than a thousand page layouts covering roles such as covers, tables of contents, key metrics, trend charts, comparisons, and closing slides. It includes chart types like radar charts, waterfall charts, treemaps, and Gantt charts, plus layouts for common business frameworks such as SWOT and the business model canvas. You install it with a single npx command, which needs Node.js 20 or newer, and exporting to PDF or PPTX also requires a local Chrome, Chromium, or Edge browser. The typical workflow starts with describing what you need, such as the topic, audience, and page count, then picking one of the twelve theme previews. The skill turns your material into a structured outline and matching slide design. You can then edit text by clicking on it, replace images by dragging new ones in, and use each slide's control panel to adjust the number of content blocks, switch layouts, change chart types, or pick a different color within the theme, with nine transition animations available. When satisfied, you export the deck as offline HTML, a PDF, or an editable PPTX. The project states it does not upload your document or slide content to any server: generation, editing, and exporting all happen on your own machine, with network access limited to installing dependencies on first use and a silent version check afterward. It targets scenarios like industry research, competitor analysis, trend reports, and pitch materials rather than pixel perfect custom design. The tool is released under the AGPL-3.0 license, with one exception: the HTML to PPTX export engine is a separate proprietary component licensed only for use inside this skill. It is written mainly in JavaScript, has 4043 stars on GitHub, and explicitly supports Claude Code, Codex, and several other AI agent platforms.
